Our agency has a number of customers that we have had for more than 50 years and some even longer.

About Guffin & Eleam, Inc.
Guffin & Eleam, Inc. was founded in 1926 by an independent business women, Miss Beulah Shropshire. Miss Beulah's family was one of the original families that settled in Chattooga County. In 1949 Robert Guffin joined the agency. Mr. Guffin purchased the agency from Miss Beaulah in 1972. In 1977 Allen W. (Butch) Eleam came to the agency after graduating from Emory University Business School. Mr. Guffin remained an owner until his death in 2006. The agency is now owned by Butch. Guffin & Eleam has held an insurance contract with The Travelers Insurance Companies for more than 80 years, one of the longest continuously held contracts in this part of Georgia. Guffin & Eleam, Inc. now has offices in LaFayette, and Rome with it's affiliation with Frank Jones, Jr.
